Houdini Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Houdini Sportswear - Buy functional and sustainable outdoor clothing for men, women, kids and junior from Houdini Sportswear. Clothes for training, hiking, skiing and biking.

Juan Gallardo mentioned, "I bought a Houdini sweater because everyone talked so good about the quality. After a few weeks of use I was loving mine, but then I cleaned it for the first time and the fabric got these small balls all over, and the zipper started to peel off. I can't believe that after one time cleaning it all this happened. Now I'm afraid of using it because I would need to clean it again and it will probably break even more."

Pricing Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) says

"This is literally the worst place I have experienced with management and upper management. They are highly unprofessional. There is zero job security and employees are under paid, over worked, and highly highly unappreciated. Cons: Management"

Customer Service Rep (Temp) says

"Worst job I have ever had I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work there...Very unprofessional ..The trainer I had was good ..but the management team need to go back to school .."

Warehouse inventory clerk (Former Employee) says

"Lots to do low pay rate. Managment wasn't so great. they really don't care about there employees. THE MOST ENJOYABLE of the job is lunch time and leaving time. I had to scan boxes all day and I told them I cant carry more than 10lb and they didn't care."

Assembly Line Worker (Former Employee) says

"I should have been suspicious about getting a job so fast. They had me working a day after my interview. They do not train you before work. You go in to a fast paced environment very quick and get yelled at by the other employees because you are new and slow. No time to learn how to do your job correctly. They work you like cattle. Cons: Short breaks"

Call Center (Current Employee) says

"The pay is good in some departments but it's really difficult to get a raise and management picks their favorites for advancement and allows those people to get away with breaking the rules while others are reprimanded for the same thing. The owners protect their friends and family to the point that many will be fired in their place. The owners family is promoted to higher paying salary jobs with no experience or skills (they couldn't make it in the call center answering phones so jobs are created for them to keep them safe). There is zero compassion for home life and people have been told in emergency situations to stay to do their job or leave and don't come back. Long list of dirty laundry that the company pays people to keep to themselves or forces you to sign a NDA."

Data Entry Clerk (Former Employee) says

"It was a temporary job (seasonal job) Cons: Short breaks"

Call Cemter Customer Service Rep (Former Employee) says

"This company teaches the employees to provide excellent customer service as well as make it right for the customers. and it's a great work place."

Assembly worker (Production) says

"This job was enjoyable not stressful but it has low pay rat and short time of work that we need to find another new job to do. The more power we put on work the same pay we got"

CUSTOMER SERVICE / DATA ENTRY (Former Employee) says

"did not like the workforce their was favoritism ti an extent and the pay was observed the training needs to be improved and the worst thing its only temporary"

Packaging (Former Employee) says

"Had to work at a fast paced and stand all day with only 10 minute break not ideal for me. Wasn't there for much time as my back started aching due to the hours spent just standing in one place."

Team Lead/Supervisor (Former Employee) says

"It shouldn't be a seasonal job n they should eork the people so hard where they hurt themselves n they should pay them better n give them appreciation because they work very hard n they shouldn't send anybody home"

Call Center Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"The first season was great and productive. I had a great supervisor who had a productive team. We worked well together and was successful in everything we did. We also handled all emails and live chats on the website and a person had to have swift accurate typing with the proper responses ........................................................................................................................................................................"

Gift Consultant/Call Center Representative (Former Employee) says

"A fun place to work at management is nice and helpful. Training was very detail and easy to follow. Co-workers were helpful and knowledgeable. Company gave a great discount to employees had great contest for 100 QA on calls. Hours were pretty flexible if you had another job. Overtime was great as a option."

Chasser 2 (Current Employee) says

"Seasonal work that does not pay enough for what you have to do. I train ppl and ensure the production lines do not stop. Management has all there family working there so there is favouritism going on"

Call Center Supervisor (Former Employee) says

"supervise a group of 14 employees handling in coming calls requesting orders for baskets and wine. Cons: no room for growth"

Quality Inspector (Former Employee) says

"Houdini is a seasonal position, that gives you experience to add to your Resume."

Call Center Representative (Former Employee) says

"Working days were good, we stayed busy all day long. Cons: Management was not consistant in certain area of the job."

Customer Service Sales Specialist (Former Employee) says

"You are required to take customer service and spelling tests, on their computers, and should at least have basic typing skills ( 30 WPM ). You'll wear headphones, and answer calls, while taking orders for wine gift baskets. There is training and the holiday brochures are kept at your cubicles ( and are online ), so you can help the customers. Some customers are wonderful, and some aren't ( especially as it gets closer to holidays ). It can be stressful, but the staff is nice and supportive. Wages are ok, for seasonal work. They'll keep you on a re-hire list, if your attendance and production are good."

Distribution / Production associate (Former Employee) says

"It's who you know, people wouldn't call no show , no problem, get in trouble for something they never explained before hand. Fo Real twice in one shift."

Material Handler Floorperson (Former Employee) says

"This is a warehouse that does seasonal work. it only operates for seven months out of a year . there is a language barrier if you speak English because most of the employees speak Spanish."
